HELP! My pc somehow has something called Cryptowall (also called 'Ransomware') on it. Is there any software that can get rid of it?

and return my files to normal (they've been encrypted so they're unuseable). OR....should I should I simply wipe my pc clean and reinstall? (If that will help get rid of it...)

If you have a real encrypt virus not one that just hid your files you need to totally over write the hard drive not a short format.

But first before doing this boot with a Linux live distro and try opening your files from Linux

If they open they arent really encrypted and you can print or save them once you get the folder out of the fake cryptic environment
