Does anyone really think Ahmed Mohamed didn't know EXACTLY what he was doing?
Have you seen the photos of the "homemade clock" he brought to school? It looks like every bad action movie bomb ever made. It was an aluminum briefcase with a couple of circuit boards, a bunch of wires, and a big red digital display with a timer.
Here's a picture. What do you think? https://twitter.com/JLindgrenCBS11/status/64418201...
If he wasn't Muslim there would have been no talk of dropping the charges or apologizing to him.

Hello Richard. You, much like every other ignorant racist bloviating imbecile who has tried to argue this point, seem to be under the impression that real bombs look like movie bombs. You should actually be quite embarrassed to admit that you lack the ability to distinguish fictional entertainment from reality. I presume that you are a grown adult, yes? Well, I hate to break it to you, but you can't actually genetically engineer dinosaurs from a fossilized mosquito and frog DNA, the shock-wave from explosions are usually very fatal and you cannot "surf" them without being turned into a sack of bloody pulp, and Hobbits aren't real. I know, I know... you must be devestated, but someone had to break it to you eventually.
The idiot English teacher thought it was a bomb based on her intensive research watching cheesy action films. The science teacher recognized it as a clock immediately. Because he is a science teacher.
"If he wasn't Muslim there would have been no talk of dropping the charges or apologizing to him."
If he wasn't a Muslim, he wouldn't have been charged in the first place.
Now, to address you main question:
"Does anyone really think Ahmed Mohamed didn't know EXACTLY what he was doing?"
Yes, he knew exactly what he was doing. He was building a clock.
I hope this answer has been helpful and informative, and allows you to pull your head out of your @ss.

So what else should he have placed his circuit boards in? They're sensitive devices and need a solid case to be placed in to prevent damage.
And just about anything that can be used to carry stuff already has been used to plant bombs in, both in movies and in real life. Suitcases, backpacks, cartons, whatever.
He committed no crime - owning a bunch of circuit boards is perfectly legal.
If he had placed that thing somewhere with a timer running down and then walked away, then THAT could be considered a fake bomb that would render him responsible for the evacuation of the school and bomb squad mission and such.
But he did no such thing, he carried his electronic gadget with himself all the time and made no effort to make people believe that it's a bomb.
If people mistakenly believe it to be a bomb just because of a superficial resemblance with movie bombs then that does not make him a criminal.

No one believes he didn't know exactly what he was doing. MANY people believe WHAT he was doing wasn't anywhere close to what YOU believe he was doing. I haven't actually read the reports and reserve judgement.

Of course he did. He was bringing a clock that he had made to school to show people. It seems to be other people who didn't know what he was doing.

Yes he knew exactly what he was doing, building a clock and showing it to his engineering teacher.
The reason is was suspected to be a bomb is because he's muslim and idiots are usually racist.
- ?Lv 76 years ago
Well yes, because he's 14. IO think he made a dumb mistake, but probably should have been able to figure out it wasn't smart, but hey, he's 14, he made a mistake.

An xenophobic teacher who thinks all Arabs and Muslims are terrorists is not proof he was building a bomb.

this was a litigation-jihad operation.
muslims have done this in the past, as in the "flying imams" case, where a bunch of muslims got on a plane and deliberately began doing suspicious things, like asking for seat belt extenders.
the purpose of litigation-jihad is to use the threat of lawsuits to scare americans out of reacting to a potential terrorist action.
that way, in a REAL terrorist attack, the victims will sit by and do nothing, because they are more afraid of being dragged through the courts.

when ur name is ahmed mohamed the chances of you being a terrorist islamic muslim extremist suicide bombist racist religionist go up 500%

"began doing suspicious things, like asking for seat belt extenders"
Obviously, you are incapable of discussing this (and probably much else) rationally.
