College Algebra question?
To make a mixture of coffee worth $272.00, a grocer mixes coffee worth $3.25 a pound with coffee worth $3.85 a pound. How many pounds of the cheaper coffee should the grocer use?
Sorry, I meant " to make a mixture of 80 pounds of coffee worth $272.00" and please explain answer.

83.69lbs. Idk, wouldn't it depend on how much of each mixture he wants to use (whether it's the cheaper or more expensive kind)? I am way too invested in this.
Update:
(80) (x+$3.25)=($272)
80x+260=272
80x=272-260
80x=12
80x/80=12/80
x=.15
15lbs
