is Disability insurance DI paid by current employer?

government EDD issued the check, based on last 4 quarter income, if you just start new job 3 weeks ago, who pays the DI?

    NO. If you are referring to Social Security Disability, it is a government program. If you are referring to private insurance, it is paid by the insurance company through which the policy was issued.
