Wow, do you think you would have ever seen this picture before? Surreal?
Vicar of Christ speaking to the Congress. Amazing.
John Boehner says he was trying for 20 years to get the Pope to speak in front of U.S. Congress. Every time the Pope said now. But now Pope Francis said yes.
Reportedly Boehner's eyes are fillng with tears.
I think Boehner should be given the highest civilian honor for this, like a medal or something. Wow

Sorry, while I was a devout Catholic, I am compelled to view the Pope as a fellow lay person, a Brother in Christ and not one drop of blood more. I don't personally perceive the Pope as most Christians, I digress. Only God and Son hold that most esteem position in my eyes. I do respect the Papa's education, dedication and much of his views though not al of them .
Once I was in Italy on a Military Mission about 28 years ago. And we were given Liberty passes for two days to tour Italy; something I don't recommend doing in 40 hours. But our final destination was to be the Vatican and Rome the next 1/2 say then we had to head back. I prayed diligently for days prior to tgat trip but we had to pay online advance for the entire train ride and trip in advance for the tickets. So I paid in advance but continued to pray for the Lord to show me if it was important for me to view Rome, the Vatican. It wasn't until we got to the last stop b4 Rome when God answered. Why?

You're making this into a huge drama. In fact, nothing really happened. To begin with, the Pope has no spiritual authority whatsoever. He is NOT "the vicar of Christ." The papacy was invented in the year 610, so what is this drama all about?? It is amazing and depressing to see millions of Catholics accept this man as their "spiritual" leader when in fact, he's nothing but an elected official. Catholicism is essentially little more than emotionalism on a grand scale, and it's full of ideas invented by men, ideas that contradict the Bible. Did you know that? The Mass was invented in 394. The worship of Mary began in 431. "Purgatory" was invented in 593 and declared a dogma of faith in 1439. The position or title of "Pope" was invented in 610. The custom of kissing the Pope's feet began in 710. It has no biblical basis. Beginning in the 11th century, Catholics were told that they were obliged to attend Mass, which has no biblical basis. Celibacy for priests began in 1079. Confessing sins to a priest began in 1215. Pope Pius IX proclaimed the dogma of Papal "infallibility" in 1870. Catholicism are full of many more inventions that Jesus NEVER taught. HERESIES are those doctrines and practices which are contrary to the Bible. They are also called "human traditions" or "doctrines of men.” Both Peter and Paul predicted and warned that in the later times “false teachers” would rise within the Church and bring in "damnable heresies" and "doctrines of devils.” Catholicism is not valid as a religious tradition and the Pope is simply a man in a costume whom naive Catholics worship as if he were some kind of saint or god. He has no business getting involved in worldly political issues. It just shows that The Vatican is essentially a worldly organization, not a spiritual one. How is it that so many millions of Catholics are so blind to what the Vatican has done to the original teachings that Jesus brought? Your post is nothing but drama. Boehner's eyes are fillng with tears? So what? That doesn't mean anything. And why should he be given a medal? For what? So many people like yourself have been swept up in the drama that was created by the Vatican, giving meaning & importance to things that were invented by men in costumes. The papacy, the costumes, the drama ~ none of this would be sanctioned by Jesus. In fact, He spoke out against the costumes worn by the Pharisees to give themselves importance. Your post is a perfect example of how Jesus' teachings have degenerated, of how the people have forgotten what He was really talking about ...

Sad,sad. The coming one world government and one world religion will consume this world and the leaders of the nations are sucking it in like turkey on Thanksgiving dinner. God saw it and knew it from the beginning of time, even before the foundation of the world. it is God's Word and it will be so

I don't understand why are you so surprised, considering that many country leaders addressed the American congress before. The pope definitely qualifies, what with having the king of Vatican title in addition to pope title.

Yes. Boehner is a good actor and extortionist.
I wonder if he's crying over winning or losing the bets he made?

John Boehner should have tears in his eyes, but for the lies he tells, and trouble he causes.
Not because some stuffed-shirt in a funny hat spoke to his crowd.

Thinking about it, not a separation of church and state.
When will the Metropolitan, the head of Greek Orthodox do same thing
or a Jewish or Muslim leader

I agree. I don't remember all my previous nightmares. But, of course I don't want to deny it outrightly. I have seen them in my dreams.
