Is PROB the right GEDCOM event for the settlement of the estate of a person who died intestate?

It's as good as any. Intestate or not, everyone's estate goes through probate, and PROB is the keyword for "probated". I just added a probate event to my test person and exported a 1-man GEDCOM; PROB was there, big as life.

I am guessing that PROB is short for probate, which would be a valid tag for this. btw, gedcom is the term for a generic data file, which can be transferred between various genealogy database programs. An event is simply an event, or fact.
