Unfortunately you cannot change your profile picture at the moment

Yahoo are in the process of developing the profile and account and have removed this facility along with nicknames and avatar changes for the present (This has been ongoing since January 2015). Nobody knows when we are going to get this ability back (if ever).

Whatever you do, don't telephone the numbers given purporting to be yahoo assistance. They are scammers and nothing to do with yahoo. They charge exorbitant fees for their services whilst genuine yahoo assistance via email is free.

Yahoo is in process of changing the profile page,

changing over to account page, and they decided to put nickname posting and picture

posting on hold for now. Not sure when it will be allowed again, if ever.

Yahoo stopped letting posters change nickname and avatars or pictures on here for now. No word on when we can change them again from yahoo staff.

Yahoo Profile (profile.yahoo.com) is no longer active.

Although you won't be able to look at other users' profiles anymore, you will soon be able to update your profile picture, Yahoo nickname, and other account settings.

You can't. Avatars and the editing of nicknames have been disabled. They are making changes to profiles. No one knows when or if they will be enabled again.

You can't. Yahoo removed that capability months ago and have not yet reinstated it
