How can I transfer microsoft office from my desktop to a flash drive and install it on my laptop?

Software has to be installed. You can't copy from the computer to a flash drive like a regular file.

If you have Office on your computer then you should have the software program DVD. Surely you didn't throw away/lose $300.00 software?

Let's say you do have the DVD...the next question is: how many licenses came with your copy of the software? Unless you have a multi-license version of Office, then it wouldn't matter if you could transfer to a flash drive because it would not activate on the 2nd computer. The product key is the license and it's either one-computer-license or a multi-computer-license.

Insert the MS Word install disc into your desktop. Wait for the disc to be read and the product registration and installation wizard window to appear.

Step 2

Type your MS Word product key into the "Enter Your Product Key" text field on the first page of the installation wizard. Click the "Continue" button.

Step 3

Read the Microsoft License Software Terms agreement by scrolling through the panel on the second page to read the entire document. Click to select the check box labeled "I accept the terms of this agreement." Click the "Continue" button.

Step 4

Click the "Install Now" button and wait for the installation to complete. Click the "Close" button when the installation is finished. You now have a copy of the same MS Word program as you have on your laptop on your desktop.

When you bought office, was it a one device license? Or a 5 device license?

If 5, download and install.

I'm assuming you have the setup files at your desktop, and you can transfer this to laptop ...... but your pendrive is too small (space) than your office setup files..............

♦ you have to split your setup files (suppose if 10gb files is split to 5 files, the result contains 2gb is each file)

......u can use "7zip"........... it's a free tool

download>install>......... right click your office setup folder> add to archive...> (at the bottom line) u can see the split option, set your desire space (suppose u want to 7gb each, so type "7000M")............ after processing

u'll get your splited files............send to your flash drive........ and to you laptop.
