I imagine that some user or users saw it as a chat violation - not seeking knowledge and/or calling out another user.
However, it would never occur to me to flag a post announcing the death of a Y!A user, especially of a long-time highly-respected one.
I knew KK. Had I asked her whether I should report that question, I would have got a rightly-deserved earful; along the lines of, whoever reports such a question lacks humanity, is contemptible, and should be ashamed of themselves.
Rest well, KK. I miss you.

Because it was not an actual question. It was more of an announcement. I would not have reported it myself. However, the report was valid. The reason was misuse of the required Q/A format.

While it is "technically" a question (Do you remember...?), it falls into the grey area of "chatting". Both because it isn't seeking any REAL, useful knowledge or information - and because it is "calling out" another user by name. It is too much like so many of the useless P&S questions out there, all of which are violations. Yours got reported enough to be dropped; many of those in P&S don't. But they are still violations, as your "question" was. Sorry - I would not have reported it either, having been a good cyber-friend of the person you mentioned. :-(

Sadly for you it was considered a chat type violation so was reported (it wound up in Business and Finance) although well intended as a gesture to show respect for a very well known and respected user who is no longer with us.
Although the question is gone the few answers you had all expressed their admiration for a great person who tirelessly devoted her time to the betterment of the site and will be missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known her..

I have been here long time, never knew her, but God bless her soul and rest her spirit. She obviously contributed much and touch many.

I think I've seen her around. She is well loved. No I haven't seen the SB thread, but it would be interesting.

It was probably seen as a chat/calling out violation.
Its unfair that good people like KK are taken away from us, while the malicious nit-picky reporters continue to live.
