Man City 5 Bournemouth 1 Watford 0 Arsenal 3 Newcastle 6 Norwich City 2?

The three promoted teams conceded 14 goals and scored 3 this last weekend yielding 0 points - can any of them survive the drop? Is the stress of Premier League football getting to them?

Update:

Perhaps finding defenders who can stop first-class strikers is the underlying problem as Championship teams don't have them so a team can get promoted without...

Norwich are the most likely to survive, they're playing the best and looking the most fluid (apart from yesterday obviously). They've also got a good young manager.

Bournemouth have also got a quality young manager in Eddie Howe but I don't think their squad had enough quality to warrant their very attacking and possession-based style of football. They've also been incredibly unlucky with injuries, losing key players to long term injuries already this season.

I also don't think Watford will survive as they haven't got enough quality.

Watford and Norwich don't have to beat the top teams and probably don't expect to; it's the rest of the teams where they look to get enough points. I don't know what happened at Newcastle; I don't think anyone could have forseen that coming. The "lesser" teams tend to run out of steam later on in the game because of the constant pressure I suppose when playing the top teams. (This is why Tony Pulis had his team running up mountains in the build up to the season I suppose). Watford will be ok though; they have the financial clout to buy if they feel the need to.

  • Watford and Norwich will survive, Sunderland, Aston Villa and either Newcastle/Bournemouth will get relegated.

Despite today's result, I think Norwich will survive.

Watford and Norwhich arn t even in the relegation zone atm, obviously would expect atleast one of them, possibly two to avoid the drop
