Yes, because the so called 'solutions' are destructive and real, whereas the bogey man, is not.

Absolutely. Now they are claiming that global warming leads to more wars and i responsible for the genocide in Darfur and Rwanda and the war in Syria. If you accept that logic then there are lots of countries that make money selling oil. If you take away oil money how many wars can we expect from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Nigeria, UAE, Venezuela, and Yemen which is projected to have a higher population than Russia in 50 years?

Beyond that, the solution also involves higher energy costs for poor countries, and poor people in developing countries, leaving them less and less money to spend on other things, and forced to do without 'luxuries' like cars, houses, and more.

    No,

Conservation saves money. Money spent insulating houses and installing solar puts money in the pockets of Americans, not Saudis, Russians, and Iranians.

    Less coal saves lives now.

With technology and scale, the cost alternative energy is declining towards fossil fuel.

So much of the "cost" is not a net loss

Most rational people immediately recognize that the numbers simply don't add up.

Some of them, like the guy in this link are pretty darn good with numbers too.

Economic depression, lost jobs, third world countries having more poverty, possible future conflict between the haves and the have nots.

Yes some warming would be great (not that we are going to get any) it would mean less heating costs, more agriculture, more habitable land available, a net gain.
