What do you think the year 3000 will be like?

The way I see it, it's very hard to predict accurately on those timescales. I mean, think about how things were in the year 1000 and compare that to today- no way would someone back then have been able to predict anything we can do now. Even the concepts would not have made sense to them.

That said, I would speculate that machines are more intelligent and more ubiquitous. Humans will probably have been modified with genetic or technological modification as well. Computers, communications, medicine, and other fields will be far in advance of their current forms.

There are likely going to be new technologies in use by then that don't really line up with anything we have yet.

I think that there will be flying cars [like in Futurama and/or Harry Potter], robots [have you ever watched the film 'Bicentennial Man'], immortality [through the technology], a cure for every disease [especially cancer], a chance to live in Mars or perhaps there will have already been some moves to that planet.

Or, our planet may die [due to the hole in the ozone layer, the glacial retreat, climate change] and/or due to a religion war [with atomic bombs].

The world population will be 100 million, 90million will be in poverty and slaves, there will be a global elite of 10 million people, although their living standards will be similar to what was in 1600

Religion will be a population limiting death cult, where excess humans are slaughtered and recycled.

Space travel

Immortality due to technology allowing our "brain" to enter a computer

A government governing the entire world

We'll know how the human race was created for sure

We will have traveled to the nearest star

Humans inhabit Mars

Unless we blow ourselves up from war. Then there will be nothing.

Probably will have flying cars, technology that can get you from one side of the world to the other in less than an hour and a cure for every disease :)

The human race might be evacuating the earth and migrating to some other planet or who knows the aliens could have even conquered our universe

There may be flying cars , like the one in Harry Potter movie .

Futuristic.

I hope a generation where religion does not longer exist, and people are treated equally regardless of their race, gender and sexual orientation.
