How bad, if any, will the loss of Julian Edelman hurt the Patriots?

The latest report is that he could return before the season is over.

It's going to hurt. Without having Julian out there defenses will have more coverage on Gronk. But Lafell is getting better every week. No one will replace Edelman, but Amendola and Lafell will have to try their best to cover up his absense.

Patriots lose their #1 WR and Brady's most trusted and consistent target. Coupled with losing Lewis last week I think they'll maybe take a small step back but the Patriots are masters of adapting to their situation and continuing to roll up points. As for Edelman I'm not sure when he'd return, it would most likely be around the divisional round of the playoffs if he does.
