Is it just me or are others horrified at the terrible waste of money spent on Light Fights when kids are starving in the Third World?

They are a Form of celebration, they give children joy, they aren't that expensive considering the happiness of the time. Why buy an icecream when someone, out there, can't eat icecream? Why walk when someone out there can't? Personally, most people put up lights but also give to people in need. You can do both, you know.

Who gives a sh*t about kids in other countries? Worry about the starving kids in America! The nation who has to do all the world policing, and disaster relief. Your mom says "Hi"

Starvation is not from lack of food or funding. It is political now. Science, not prayer, or god made food plentiful and cheap (compared to what it used to be). Religious and political ideology is what keeps people starving in the 21st century.

honestly, you shouldn't worry about that. worry about yourself. The U.S people (or at least most of them) take care of themselves. They should move and get a job. Not just be lazy and homeless. worry about keeping your head above water. not the other people. everyone should worry about themselves and their loved ones. Not people you don't know.
