Fishy smell near clothes dryer- could it be an electrical problem? If so should I shut off the circuit breaker to the area?

Recently noticed a fishy smell near my clothes dryer - even when not washing clothes. Area is clean no mildew or mold. Someone suggested could be electrical problem with the outlet? If so should I shut off the breaker until I can get an electrician?

    A fishy smell is overheating electrical insulation.

    Probably just a loose connection in the outlet.

    Power off, purchase new outlet and replace old one.
