What would the war on terror look like today if we had continued to occupy Iraq?

    Pretty much the same, with more dead US soldiers.

    Which is why declaring a war on terror was a stupid thing to do in the first place.

    You cannot defeat an ideology.

    We'd be weakened, not only with military force, but also expenditure. In other words, we'd lose personnel and money which would give terrorists a heavier hand.

    Not much different, the body count would be higher and we would be throwing away trillions more dollars we can not afford, for nothing.
