I have a 95 F-150.302 v8,automatic, has a distributor.Using a spark tester, no spark.What is common failure ran yesterday doesn't run today.?
OK, finally got it running. The schematic from Pilsner Man helped a lot. My biggest problem was that it is a fuel injected engine, not carbureted. Therefore is has different electronics. I can't remember exactly what it was, but there is a Hall sensor inside the distributor that failed. No one carried it. No one even carried that distributor except Ford.

Ignition control module, coil, worn rotor, blown 20A fuse (U).

Ignition modules go bad in those distributor setups all the time. They're not too expensive so try replacing it.
