Would it be better to stay behind a drunk driver, or try to pass them?
If you were to stay behind you could follow at a farther distance, but could still be involved in a wreck if they caused one, but if you passed them, you'd have to drive right along side of them until you could pass them, but once you pass them you could speed away.

Both.
This person driving today wasn't drunk it's just the way people drive in my city-having no value for life...we often have & hit and runs here, constantly on the news
Anyways I was driving but this person in the lane next to me was driving on the line and almost into my lane.
In my mind I make them feel stupid by slowing up until they get far ahead of me. I think they realize their stupidity after a minute and straighten up, but when they straighten up like how I want them to
I get as far over in my lane as possible and then speed pass them. I make sure not to look at them either.
Some people want attention.

Or you could pull over the car your in and wait for a few minutes if you have any stores in the area go to it and call the police and report the drunk driver. someone's mom or dad son or daughter could be in an accident with this poor excuse for a human being. not thinking nor caring about others on the road. Thanks for the question friend. God bless.

often depends on the road conditions and speed being travelled
theres no absolute right or wrong though if you do decide to stay behind best to maintain a much greater distance than you would ordinarily, allowing you plenty of time to deal with anything that might come your way
