Parking Lights - a "must have", if you´re driving in the U.S.?

I was wondering if these orange "Parking Lights" are standard on every car in the US, or just in certain states? Do I have to switch them "on" also in the daytime or just at night? What, if I take my car from Germany to the US - setup change is duty?

Yes they are a must have, including in Europe. Have fun getting the car on a boat and off again in Germany, and spend any time seeing sights. You need specific permission to 'import' a foreign (non european) vehicle. You'll spend a lot of time in customs, waiting to get your vehicle, loaded, unloaded, and inspected.

They are federally mandated. All cars in the US have them.

At night you must use the headlamps, not just the parking lamps.

Yes, they are standard on every car. They typically operate as directionals!
