    If you want to self-publish, concentrate on ebooks first. Most self-published authors sell next to nothing in print, mainly because it's very difficult to convince bookshops to stock them.

    Start with Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), as Amazon has about 75% of the market for ebooks in countries where English is the main language. Once you're comfortable with that, you can expand to the retailers that have the other 25%. When you decide to do a print edition, the main companies I'd look at are Lulu and CreateSpace. Last time I checked, Blurb were more geared towards things like photo albums, and their prices for paperbacks with lots of text (i.e. novels) were a good way above Lulu's and CreateSpace's.
