Why are they called "3G running shorts" ?

I have a pair of ADIDAS 3G running shorts and I m unable to find out why they are "3G" third generation? Three grams? Nike has a 3G running short but it has something to do with an app and technology which does not seem to be the case with the adidas 3G

3G is actually a physics term referring to the amount of force you are feeling in comparison to the effect of gravity. So in the case of 3G, you are running so fast in your rockin new shorts from ADIDAS that your body is experiencing a force equivalent to 3 times the effect of gravity.

It's just a name. It has nothing to do with apps or electronic technology G's. G in this case refers to gravity so they are trying to say 3x the force of gravity. It's a physics thing.
