Well don't try too hard, don't waste time putting all your effort into it if they're not going to change. Try being open and acting like you've always been there, just don't cross any lines getting too personal or saying things meant to be taken as a joke and nothing more. If you try too hard, they'll notice. Just be you and if they don't like it then that's their loss.
