why do shia people give so much importance to ali and his family?

    Salam Because Shia people most respected(much importance) Ali as the first Caliph plus his family and they rejected Abu Bakar,Umar and Ustman bin Affan as the 1st,2nd and 3 rd Caliphs.They want the akhly bites as the leaders

    Why not? Ali (as) is part of the Ahlul Bayt and blood related to the Prophet (pbuh). Of course him and his family are important, and they should be to Sunnis aswell.
