Fictional metal name ideas?
I'm writing a story and I need a name for a special kind of rock (metallic) that interferes with electronic gadgets. I do not know if this exists but I really want it to be fictional. So, do you have any ideas for names??? Thanks!

If you want a fictional name that makes direct reference to its ability to cause electrical or magnetic interference that affects electronic devices, two relatively obvious choices are interferium or magnetium (referring to its magnetic effects).
On the other hand, if you want to emphasize the mysterious, scientifically unknown, properties of this mineral, you could call it mysterium or apocrypium (derived from "apocryphal") or atopium (derived from the Greek word "atopos" which means "improper", "out of place", "unusual" or "perverse" - which is how those whose devices are affected would probably perceive it!)
