Pirates Fans - What s the deal w/Gerritt Cole ------ mad about what?

Cole made $531,000 last season, plus a $10,000 bonus for making the All Star team.

Pittsburgh offered him a $541,000 salary this year, which he has to accept, so he's angry about it.

He was an All Star, won 19 games, threw 208 innings, and was Top 10 in every significant pitching category, and all he got was a lousy $10,000 raise. And Pittsburgh threw money at that fat azz loser, Chico Alvarez.

I hope Cole bolts the minute he becomes eligible for free agency.

Salary, he is not yet eligible for arbitration, and really has no leeway here, the Pirates, really do not have to do anything either, that's one of the things that prove that the "business" side of baseball is ruining the game. He needs to put this behind him or it could effect the entire ballclub this season, and keep them from being in the playoffs.
