You have to pay to play online on the PS4 wtf?

Why would they do this? PlayStation has always had free online play (well the PS3)

Because the PR machine that ran xboxlive is running their sht now. That's why they are releasing a ps4.5 so it's completely controled.

This marketing teams goal is to milk every cent from the consumer they can like on destiny.

Again this is why I say, avoid the ps4 and anything else that uses this system of robbing people for free content like playing games online. As far as I am concerned the ps3 is the last generation of consoles until they stop lowering that bar of what they CAN do.

Like when the xbox came out and that bruce lee game and halo were the only things around and they were trying to sell online play for 19.99 a month I permanently stayed away from xbox. To this day never played gears of war or any other xbox game. Xbox didn't even get headsets til sony created socom. Where they prompty ripped sony off.

So atleast I can see the corporate shinanegans. I am not going to pay them no matter what. They cut out content, they don't deserve that money.

Microsoft have been asking for payment for a long time now and now Microsoft have bought contracts with EA, Call of Duty, Foza and Ubisoft I think.

This means that already the Xbox got DLC for CoD one month early and now they will get priority on many other games including Fifa, Battlefield, Foza and assassins creed and other games developed by the companies they now have a contract with.

They were able to pay for this because they got a lot of money from stuff like customers paying for Xbox Live.

Sony are probably doing this so they can add benefits to their users.

You will probably be able to pay for like 12 months of online and when the time has almost finished you will be notified and will be able to pay again.

If you don't pay your data will be saved your profile will be the same when you come back and pay for it again.

I would think that you can transfer you PSN account because you can do that with the Xbox one so Sony will probably let you do it as well.

    Hope this helped.

I suppose you could arguably blame on Microsoft since they did that with XBOX LIVE since the start. During the XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3 era, we saw the PlayStation Network crumble every now and then, and XBOX fanboys would say, "you get what you pay for". So, because of this, it's likely that has made Sony charge you on t he PlayStation 4 so they could improve their online gamign service and have it run better. Although sadly, it doesn't always still, which does kind of make you question the point of paying if it can still run like crap.

It's been that way since the release of the PS4. Also they announced you needed a PS Plus account way before release.

They now need to charge us for online play so that they can improve the Playstation Network, at least that is what Sony says. The truth I am sure is they just want to make more money out of us!
