Are there any Christians that have studied religious education?
I just wondered because in my years of doing R.E I've never met one hardcore Christian. I've met one Christian but even they questioned God's existence.
He wasn't those stupid ones either he believed in many scientific theories but also believed in God.

At what school? If they promote things like gay marriage and abortion, like many schools do, then of course not many Christians go there to learn about "religious" education. Christians believe in false religion inspired by the devil. Read the first commandment, for example.

When I was in junior comprehensive (equivalent of junior high) I, along with my fellow students, was forced to take Religious Education (RE) classes.
On one very boring lesson, which none of the students in the class was taking any notice of, I decided to say out loud, this: "*sigh* This is pointless. What a complete waste of time! None of us here believe in this rubbish! Our time would be better spent taking a worthwhile subject!"
The RE teacher immediately stopped what she was doing. Then, without any warning screamed like a maniac and threw a very large bible at me. The teacher had a good aim too, as if I hadn't ducked, the bible, turned ballistic missile, would've hit me square in the face.
With that, she screamed: "GET OUT OF MY CLASS!!"
"With pleasure". I replied.
I went straight to the deputy headmaster's office and told him what had happened, and that I refuse, point blank, to attend anymore RE classes.
After an exchange between RE teacher and deputy headmaster, I received 5 lashes from a cane on my right hand for disrupting a class.
The RE teacher departed to go on "holiday". She never returned.
And I never attended RE class again.
The pain from my hand receiving the cane was worth it.
Religion, in all its delightful forms, is complete and utter bullshit.

Thats an interesting question. Everyone who I have known who has studied RE also havent been Christians. I am curious to know why that is. Perhaps some of the answers will help us

No one who studied scripture and wished to follow God correctly would self claim to be Christian or be part of any organised religion, as doing both is against God.

truth isn't found in religious studies

How about going to www.OnLine BibleCollage.com On can take all of their courses for free even! (I have)
I asked a relative of mine to be my son's godparent. She accepted. This woke her up and she went back to collage and became a Christian Minister!

The more one learns the truth of religion, the less likely they are to be religious.
There is just something wrong about going directly against proven facts.

The Answer = No.
Unfortunately, and judging by the continuing outcome, they are still too busy trying to be 'christians'.
