Depends on your trust level rating, sometimes it takes more than one report to remove content.

To quote the help page on the subject...

    Community moderation

At Yahoo Answers, we rely on the honor system to reward and empower reliable Yahoo Answers contributors.

Community members who consistently and accurately report abusive questions and answers have more influence than others. By the same token, users who report content incorrectly will lose trust. So the level of influence any member of the Yahoo Answers Community has varies constantly dependent on their actions.

If one or more trusted members of the Community report the same question or answer, it will be removed.

cause your TR level isn't high enough to remove then on your own....also reporting wasn't working for the past 2 months.

However it seems to FINALLY be fixed

Being critical is different than being hateful. Scientologists apparently think they are one in the same. In the real world though, where yahoo answers resides, they know the difference. Sorry, not really sorry

Because you need more than one person to report answers or questions to get it to drop.
