Can I use a oven liner on my new oven?
I just purchased a new Frigidaire oven to replace my very old unit. In my old unit I lined the bottom of my oven with aluminum foil for easy clean up, but my new oven says right on the inside of the unit not to use aluminum foil. I'm wondering if it would be safe to buy a oven liner. I tried calling Frigidaire's customer service line to ask, but everything is automated. It said if I had questions to call another number, which I did, but it was the exact same recording.

Many new ovens don't want you to use any liner. If your oven has the bottom element covered then the heat distribution will be off if you place the liner over the covering. They claim any liner messes up the heat circulation. I don't use anything. Once I had a major spill but was able to remove it by using one of those sponges with the rough pad on one side before it got baked in.

The issue with liners or layers of foil in the Base of an oven is it getting sucked onto the backing where the fan is and causing it to overheat.
The heavyweight oven liners are much safer in this respect.

Yes, it will be okay, mine works great in my oven. It is not a Frigidaire but ovens are ovens.
