What is the easiest English speaking country for a middle aged American to immigrate to?

Not enough information provided for anyone to answer this.
Firstly, there are 67 countries (sovereign states) where English is an official language. That's one third of the world's countries. You need to help narrow it down a bit.
Secondly, what skills/qualifications/experience do you have that might get you a work permit?
Thirdly, what do you mean by 'easiest... to immigrate to'? 'Easy' in what sense - the eligibility criteria being the lowest? The paperwork being the least onerous? Your chances of actually getting the permission being the greatest? The country in question being near to the USA and/or easy to get to physically? Or all of the above, or something else entirely?

Canada may be easiest, as you can drive your U-Haul truck there, but assuming that you don't have a PhD behind your name, know that the UK only requires you to invest GBP 250,000 for an investor visa, whereas it's silly money in Canada.

People keep saying Canada, but, we only take in 10,000 Americans a year, so, it is actually pretty difficult.
Pitcairn Island will take immigrants though. Legally, it is very easy. However, getting there is not!
