Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Much more than you think you need. That might help over time. Consider the amount of potassium in your diet - it might be a factor. Read about potassium and leg cramps. For some people drinking tonic water at night helps with leg cramps - it has some quinine in it, which in the past was prescribed to treat leg cramps. Talk to your doctor about the cramps, because it could signify something else going on. I used to have severe leg cramps every night. They are completely gone. I have not had one in about six weeks. My doctor and I attribute it to drinking much more water, and getting enough thyroid medication.

Place yourself in a hot water bath for a half hour and slowly massage yourself all the way through for around 15 minutes. This will improve your blood circulation and help loads with the pain.
