Lifespan of orange trees ?

Someone said that an orange tree only lives about 25 years. I was going to have a 20 year old tree transplanted, but now not sure. This is in Calif.

At 20 years old the tree should be cutting back on the quantity of fruit produced. I don't think moving the tree is money well spent. The amount of root ball needed to keep the mature tree alive and producing for another few years is huge.

There are a number of orange trees that are well over 100 years old and still producing plenty of oranges.

I don't know what the upper age limit is, but it's more than 25 years by a factor of at least five.

That sounds about right and also citrus trees don't do too well when transplanted.
