Custody Battle Advice is needed.?

Update:

So I already changed lawyers once, because the old lawyer wasn't representing me as much as he was himself- and he was overcharging me even worse than the new one. The new one has dragged us through 6 pretrials, and has told me that it will cost up to 10,000 more. (Already invoiced 5,560) to get shared parenting, as the absent father. Last months invoice (without a pretrial) was for 850.00. Get a new lawyer? Or stick it out? I feel like I'm being ripped off, but changing lawyers again...?

Do you know the "going rate" for legal battles? My second divorce cost me $36,000 to lose, plus the $24,000 Visa bill I got stuck with. And that was 2004.

Your lawyer should be explaining to you not only what is happening in the court process, but WHY it is happening. If you do not understand how it works, you cannot say he is gypping you.

You and your wife did not want to work it out. Johnny Kemp sang in his most famous chorus that it's "cheaper to keep her". If bottom line is all you worry about, you should have been MUCH more diligent with her.

I would stick this out and get it done, since changing lawyers constantly would only add costs.
