The sentiment is ok, but how the song was done, there was to much usage of electronics, so not a good song. But then I was never really a fan of Prince. This is a good case with what Duke Ellington said about music fits well, in my opinion.
"There are two kinds of music. Good music, and the other kind."
I had meant to answer this question, a good while ago, but things got messed up for me. The song makes some points, but overlooks others.

Not a fan. Prince's voice is annoyingly nasal.

Ghastly. I did not like either the song and I disagreed 100% with its contents. Still REALLY looking forward to my LOVELY roast pork on Sunday.
