Who do Christians believe God spoke to Moses and the Prophets when Jesus told them God did not speak to Moses or the Prophets?

17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

18 No man hath seen God at any time;

John 1:17-18 (KJV)

---

Jesus said

And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

John 5:37 (KJV)

---

Jesus said,

O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

Luke 24:25 (KJV)

---

Jesus said,

Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

John 10:7-11 (KJV)

Oh, dear. You're projecting Jesus' words to the Jews of his time back to the time of the prophets. God spoke to Moses indeed, but Jesus says that the men of his own generation had not heard God speak. That's all.

God spoke to Moses and the prophets. The Nicene Creed is pretty clear that that is what Christians believe.

We must not read scripture as you do. Do you consider this or that verse more important that the rest of scripture? Can a single verse overturn the understanding and belief of Christians since the time of the apostles? The concept of canon within the canon is acceptable historically; do you claim one that is contrary to mainstream Christianity?

You can lie to yourself about what Jesus said, or did no say, it will not change the facts as spoken by Jesus.

/ / / Because the CHRISTIAN reedited version of bible is inaccurate.

For true version, study Tanakh with Jewish people .

Also, respect others and their right to worship.
