But RODDY is incorrect. Prostate TISSUE HAS been transplanted.
ANONYMOUS is also wrong -- the local has little do with it, and transplanting a portion of the urethra is possible..
While this is not ACCEPTED surgery (like heart/lung/kidneys) it IS an experimental process.
But as it turns out, the results are not very good, AND when the prostate is removed for potential cancer, the procedure can not be performed.

No prostate has yet been transplanted anywhere in the world. It is not a priority to attempt such a thing.
