How to help your voice?

I've been sick for a while now and now it's just getting awful. My throat is phlegmy, I'm coughing up a lung, and my voice is really rough. I have a vocal music exam tomorrow and as it stands, I can't sing. Does anyone have any tips to help me get my voice back?

Go on a COMPLETE vocal rest with NO singing, whispering, shouting nor yelling AT ALL and as little speaking aloud as possible. Stay well hydrated, but do NOT have anything caffeinated (tea included!) as it will only make you feel WORSE. If your voice is not back to normal after an aforementioned vocal rest of, say, 2-4 more weeks, then please go see an ear-nose-throat specialist for diagnosis and further advice.

Sorry to say but your exam comes way too soon, so you need to reschedule it. Jumping the gun too early will only cause further problems, so you need plenty of time for proper recovery.

Drink some Ginger Tea and have some soup (I mean I personally don't like ginger tea but it helps) anyways you're awesome and get well soon
