why is creativity murdered by modern society?

so logical, reasoning everything; living on limits in a tug o war... where i have an eye that sees infinite imagination you have put to rest for a career... where i had love friendship and community... you turned it into money. Why cant these people see!? God i wish they could then we would find a solution together. I hope its not too late, you think yourselves to be at the height of what a human society could be, but are like cavemen compared to what you may not ever see. I hear it, and its clear it not our fault but why do you leaders use us and the world and make so many live in misery... i just thank god for showing me.

    Because profit is derived from predictability and planned obsolescence. Creativity interferes with that process. It isnt profitable. Hell someone might invent a better product. The film industry is a prime example of this, when did you last see a movie that didnt have an entirely predictable ending and plot.

    Daniel 2:44 In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.+ And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever,

    Isaiah 9:6, 7

    6 For a child has been born to us,+

    A son has been given to us;

    And the rulership* will rest on his shoulder.+

    His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,+ Mighty God,+ Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

    7 To the increase of his rulership*

    And to peace, there will be no end,

    On the throne of David+ and on his kingdom

    In order to establish it firmly+ and to sustain it

    Through justice and righteousness,

    From now on and forever.

    The zeal of Jehovah of armies will do this.

    Reference Bible Re 17:12 And the ten horns that you saw mean ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they do receive authority as kings one hour with the wild beast. 13 These have one thought, and so they give their power and authority to the wild beast. 14 These will battle with the Lamb, but, because he is Lord of* lords and King of* kings, the Lamb will conquer them. Also, those called and chosen and faithful with him [will do so].

    Creativity is murdered by society-mostly by Liberals who will figure out a way to tax it (for the greater good of course).

    I read this same editorial in a newspaper from 1880. Creativity and defeat have always existed. Don't give up on yourself.

    If I am at all a creative person I do not live my life by the dictates of other people's demands for money time and materialism. What you are saying is "I lack the creativity to determine my own goals, why are everyone else's goals so crappy?"

    That isn't creativity it is spoiled-brat-ism.

    Only in idiots who don't read. But the people who read for fun, hundreds of books a year. Have no trouble coming up with ideas. Creative people are in short supply and the right people are already motivated. Just because you're not good at anything yet because you haven't enough years of practice. Doesn't mean you are trapped in an indiana jones trap.

    You could be living in Sudan. What would you do then. How hard could it be to think then. Would you read then?

  • Modern society is too highly critical and discriminate to entertain that which is insignificant to them. Unless it makes big bucks, it ain't gonna fly! :D

    Perhaps you might want to explain that in a clear manner? You're describing a lot of issues but not offering a lot of detail- what exactly do you think is the problem, and what would you prefer?

    Also, I personally see nothing wrong with logic or reasoning- these are how you actually make sense of things. I'm not a fan of just fluffing about without any clear rationale as to what one is doing.

    Because modern people are dull; Technology does everything for people;

    (And technology is created by some few isolated individuals only, who generally don't get the benefit out of their own creations);

    The masses enjoy the technology intensely and gradually become dull, by losing their natural mental powers;
