Do we citizens have to recognize all external obligations made by former government? Contracts, debts, etc.?

    Haiti finally paid off their debt to France for declaring that they were free and taking the property of france such as their slave plantations and slaves.

    France, in collusion with the United States, continued to bleed Haiti until related debts were finally paid off—in 1947!
