My niece is 13 and my sister has this trouble alot
but she found out that all you need to do is to give her space. at her age of course she's going to be a bit quiet to their parents but dont you worry, just because she isn't listening dosn't mean she doesn't love you

Its not really your daughter's fault, you just suck as a parent. You probably gave her too much leverage during her childhood and adolescence. Or its just a phase maybe. Don't listen to me.

try a loudspeaker.
or maybe say something that doesn't sound like criticism. kids don't like being preached to. maybe if you talk to her the way YOU would want someone to talk to you, you might hit the right nerve...
