Why do you think there has been a lot of hype over "the Mandella effect"? Why is it happening?

My theory is that this is how physics work... This is the theory of relativity in real life! People make the internet become a reflection of reality, and millions take stuff online as proof... so lets say one was to experiment and change one small detail on behalf of google/etc. and millions see it and believe they just were mistaken in the spelling... then blam! after enough people see it, the spelling changes on the majority of books!

I think the Mandella Effect as a theory is a case of mass hysteria. You are being made to see something that isn't there. Like someone says "Gee I thought Yul Brenner died?" And suddenly you start having Yul Brenner sightings. It is induced nonsense. Like artificial abuse memories. The hype is because the Internet is a very effective tool for mass hysteria.

Berenstein Bears became Berenstain Bears.... and supposibly it was always spelled the other way... yet my girlfriend has the first spelling printed on an old copy... the other ones spelled the other way... i cant find any others with the E spelling... all the other old ones changed. (Impossible? or logical explanation why so many people remember both spellings 100% sure?)

What I make of it is that humans are delusional by nature. I'm reading a Salem witch trial book at the moment. The absolute insanity people claimed was going on all around them is staggering, and we haven't changed since 1692. I really don't believe a goddamn word from anyone. Even 'logic' is mostly rationalization. An exercise in convincing ourselves of our stories. The only thing I trust is empiricism and that's far from perfect.

Is the Mandela effect when you are a leader of a terrorist organization and wind up winning a nobel prize?

Philosophically speaking, I have no idea about your present presumptions. Nothing happens in this world without any reason. We should plunge into action and know the background reason for its happening.
