Because of a virus on laptop, unable to download anti virus. I have mcafee on main pc. Any ideas? (disc mem. stick?)?

Try kaspersky rescuedisk and let it scan the entire laptop. It's a bootable antivirus so you just have to boot from a disk.

Start in safe mode with network and download the free scanner from http://malwarebytes.org./ Then you should get yourself a proper active anti-virus. That machine could have been sending all your personal details round the Internet for months and you would never know.
