PERIOD HELP PLEASE !!!?
Ok I am 14 years old and I've had my period for a little over a year now. My period is really heavy I soak through a pad in about 2 - 2 and a half hours sometimes. And I have bad cramps. They hurt so badly and it feels like I can't do anything. I'm scared to use tampons , but even if I wasn't the regular sized tampon won't probably be enough , will it ? And I'm not going to use a super tampon because it's too big. I dread getting my period every month. Oh and, after sleeping I have to run to the bathroom or I will soak my pants and when I do go to the bathroom blood POURS out. I absolutely hate it. And they last 7 days so :(( what do I do I really need help.

Okay, tampons do NOT hurt. I remember the first time I used it I cried on the toilet for an hour only to find out that it didn't hurt lol. It's a little uncomfortable at first but you will forget it's in. just remember to take them out 4-6 hours. Try to use a thin tampon and use a pad just incase you leak (you probably will since your period flow is heavy). You angle the tampon down towards your back and when you take it out, take it out the direction you put it in. Make sure you get super absorbent tampons so it's easier.
Use pads when you sleep and put a towel under your butt when you sleep so you leak on the towel instead of the bed. You're 14 so the flow may vary to light-medium-heavy. If it's that heavy I'd say make a gyno appointment to see why it's so heavy. Good luck!

Your period is heavy but not unusually so if you can wear a pad for two hours - yes pads should last 4-6 hours but they don't hold very much so heavier flow will require you to change more often - consider using better pads such as overnight pads, team-up with period underwear if worried about leaking. Instead of tampons consider menstrual cups as they hold more flow than tampons, have a seal to prevent leaking, and as cups are safer than tampons they can be worn for 12 hours with any flow and overnight with no need to alternate with pads so more convenient.
Take NSAID's like Ibuprofen to help reduce cramps and flow, or if it's bad ask your doctor for Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid which will both prevent cramps and reduce your flow. Overall look at improving your health such as making changes to your diet, this is one of the biggest things you can do to deal with menstrual health issues.
