I read somewhere that there was a mythological object called Aphrodite's sword. Was it pure fiction or does it have basis in an actual myth?

I never heard of that before. I've heard of Aphrodite's magic girdle, but not a sword. There is an old movie out there called the Sword of Venus (Aphrodite's Roman name), but it's not about the goddess.

Aphrodite's weapons were her magical girdle, her mirror (this is not for simple vanity but for the magical aspects such as clairvoyance, teleportation and the like). She also had her powerful charm. She had no enemies and needed no protection.

What qualifies as an "actual myth"?

    Her sword was Cupid.
