How long do you hare to report an accident?

Update:

My car was totaled and the other driver still hasn't reported it. He blew through a red light and t boned me into another truck. There is a police report. Their insurance is saying i can't get a rental or money for my car until they speak to them. It's been 5 days.

    since you were tboned you should contact an attorney, in case you got injuries from the accident. protect yourself. tthey can help with auto insurance questions too.

    You should inform your insurance as soon as possible.

    Most insurance policies have this as a requirement.
