Have you ever been angry at God?

A few times I've endured misfortunes. Like 2 years ago, my mom and dad divorced. It wasn't my mom's idea. It was my dad. And one other time i lost a close friend who died in a fatal car accident. With these misfortunes, i felt angry and sad. I almost wanted to curse at God but then i remembered this character from the old testament named Job. He suffered misfortunes but he never cursed at God and neither did i. Instead i remained faithful. I know in the end, God has a divine plan for all of us. He gave us a savior who died on the cross, Jesus Christ and resurrected from the dead. So no matter what happens, we must be thankful in good times and bad times.

No. When I used to believe in God I was never angry at God. As a Catholic I didn't think about God that much. As a deist I didn't believe in a revolved God, so there was no point in being angry at such a being.

Now as an agnostic atheist, I lack faith in a God to be angry at one at all.

Not any one person is exempt from experiencing a misfortune in life and god would have to exist in order to be angry or thankful for your misfortunes thinking it's part of his plan....

So you thank a god who's plan is to starve a child to death? What could possibly be his brilliant plan of casting such cruelty upon a child for that child to just die?

Have you heard of the Conversations with God series by Neale Donald Walsh? Neale wrote an angry letter to God one day with his issues and the pen started moving and he got answers. You should check it out.

Pious thoughts and life. Don't know how I'd handle a death of an adult child or my spouse. The grief at my parents deaths is faded memory. I don't recall expressing anger at God, but I might have and forgotten it.

So in other words, whenever you're angry at life, you should just get a Job?

All the damn time. Almost like he's non-existent because he's never responded back. Hmm..
