BABYSITTING HELP AND TIPS?
Hey guys, so tomorrow I am babysitting an 11 month old, 5 year old, and a 9 year old. I'll be 15 in a few months. Anyway, the 9 year old is very aggressive towards the 5 year old ( they are brother and sister and love to play fight ) And I can never seem to get them to calm down. Are there games or anything I should do with them. Also , the 11 month old is a screamer and very clingy towards her mother. If she sees her mom , she screams at the top of her lungs and cries for her. What should I do for that ??? Thanks !!!

For the 9yr old and 5yr old create fun activities that they wouldn't usually do. A good example is a colouring-in competition. Go online and find a black/white image of each of their favorite characters. Ironman, Hulk, Captain America, Scooby Doo, Anna/Elsa, Cinderella, Tinkerbell... Whatever it may be and print them off. Give them crayons, markers and whatever other art supplies you can find and encourage them to be creative! At the end award prizes.
Could also try something like a sports game/competition using a soccer ball or tennis rackets, whatever you can find really, even races like running, skipping, jumping are fun and different. I am suggesting mostly competitive ideas as these are great for brothers and sisters as they are so competitive with each other and will challenge eachother. Could give the younger one a head start.
For the 11 month old, don't cater to the fact she's crying for her mother - ignore it and try and engage her in something else. Put on a movie or get out a game or something just before the mother leaves and try focus her attention to that. Make silly faces, put on music, get out her favorite treat - whatever it takes!
