Who should I contact to get refunded for shipping after selling on ebay?

I recently tried to sell something on ebay however the person who bought the item from me was actually a hacked account. This was my first time selling on ebay so I wasn't entirely sure how the process worked but I never received the payment. After shipping the product and spending $100 on overnight shipping, I received an email stating that the account of the buyer was hacked. Luckily they never delivered the package so i was able to request for it to be shipped back. Can I get a refund on the money I spent shipping? if so who do I contact?

    You can't get the shipping refunded as you breached Ebay's terms of use by shipping the item before you had the payment in your account

    The first rule of using Ebay is that you never send anything until the item appears as Paid in your Ebay transaction history AND you go to paypal.com and see the money is in your account. Then you ONLY ship to the address listed in your Ebay history as the buyer's verified address

    Also you don't pay the shipping - the buyer pays for shipping which is why you don't ship until you have the money in your account

    You can call Paypal, but honestly you should never ship a product on eBay until you receive a cleared payment.

    No one is going to refund your shipping. You paid the carrier, scam or not, they attempted delivery. They did what they were paid to do and you will not be getting a refund.

    You should contact the scammer and ask for a refund of the amount you spent due to their fraudulent purchase. You can sue them if they refuse to pay. You can also have them arrested for fraud and get the D.A. to order them to pay you restitution as part of their plea bargain.

    No. you had the item shipped, you are responsible for the shipping cost.

    Why are you offering overnight shipping on ebay to begin with?
