why do online and dating apps work in favor or some people but not others?

Why do I get such huge different reactions from girls on dating apps than I do from girls in real life? I know I look decent. Skinny, average height, 6 ft tall, a caramel mixed skinned brother with a short haircut. Solid. yet I will use dating apps for the hell of it mostly for visual stimuli and message girls and my reactions are completely pathetic. tinder? no-go. Bumble? nahh. POF? not today... Mostly no reply's. Not even a hi.

but then i will go to places like gas stations, stores, bars, clubs... or any social gathering with a congregation of anything with a vagina that moves... and the reactions I get is like dynamite to a flame.

I DON'T GET IT!!

I get stares, smiles, looks with a wide range of emotions and willingness. Even girls with their boyfriends gives me the devious sneaky little glance and look away. I admit that I've pulled plenty of bumble bees off the streets ( actually not really the "streets" but social events.. schools, colleges... normal places. without being awkward) and into bed. I've done that plenty of times, but when i'm on dating apps?... ZERO! Meanwhile I have a friend of mine who looks decent. NO HOMO. blue eyes, white dude,skinny and he would get great result! but online only... In real life hes average to completely terrible in clubs and other social places. He gets more rejections. but me? no.. in real life I destroy him. I will get females of different types looking and giving me the okay if i do decide to approach. I just don't understand
