We have the Dead Sea Scrolls and actually have copies of some very old New Testament writings. There is nothing wrong with many of the translations today. The main problem is that there are some words in Hebrew that are not in the English language.

The only OT book not found in the scrolls was Esther. I'd say that is a very good track record.

Such questions usually pertain to the actual printed text. Obviously those who practice sola scriptura (Protestants) are going to come up with all kinds of conflicting beliefs even when the text is exactly the same. Which is why Jesus Christ founded ONE Church, said it was to remain ONE, and promised that ONE Church, and no other, the fullness of truth.

What if modern science now forces mankind to reinterpret certain Biblical scripture that we have mistranslated due to our lack of scientific knowledge to properly interpret the advanced scientific knowledge hidden in this ancient Biblical scripture thus giving them the unscientific religious interpretations we still think they mean today? What do you call that?

I call it my private interpretation that is now correct and all previous religious interpretations of this scripture wrong. How do I go about proving that to the rest of the world.
